Join our incredible training team for this impactful webinar series, designed by QUEERSPACE Collective. We will delve into essential topics surrounding diversity, connection, and inclusion.
Each session takes place on Tuesdays from 6:30 PM to 7:45 PM, providing a dedicated space for growth, understanding, and community building.
Suggested donation of $5 - $40 per class.
CLASS 1
Showing up for LGBTQ+ Youth
JAN 16: Creating inclusive spaces is essential for ALL of us to be able to show up as our authentic selves. This training will offer strategies and insights for co-creating respectful and affirming LGBTQ+ spaces for all young people in our communities. Topics include adapting physical spaces to be more inclusive, age-appropriate tools to talk about gender and sexuality, and more.
CLASS 3
Recognizing Intersectionality
MARCH 19: There are as many ways to be LGBTQ+ as there are LGBTQ+ folks. While intersectionality is a cornerstone of all QUEERSPACE training sessions, this session explicitly touches on how race, culture, sexism and ableism affect the LGBTQ+ community and how we can best hear and support those at the intersection of multiple identities.
CLASS 2
Supporting Trans & Non-Binary Folx
FEB 20: Building on our introductory course, we'll dive deeper into gender identity and how people of all ages are living in a more gender expansive world. We will work to answer questions and dispel common misconceptions. Our hope is to provide context that uplifts and supports the unique experiences of transgender and non-binary folx in our community.
CLASS 4
Understanding & Overcoming Implicit Biases & Micro-aggressions
APRIL 16: Implicit biases and micro-aggressions occur daily in every space we take part of. In this Training, we define “implicit bias” and “micro-aggression” to help you understand and recognize them as you build a more inclusive space. We’ll also share tools on how you can deploy and challenge micro-aggressions and implicit biases.
Our webinars are crafted to cater to a diverse audience, fostering a sense of belonging and understanding for everyone. We understand the importance of representation and support, especially for those within the LGBTQ+ community. While the content is suitable for all, the orientation is geared towards individuals aged 18 and above.
